The Dionaea m. "Wine Mouth" is a highly coveted flytrap cultivar due to its rare and unique features. This plant has an erect growth pattern with a distinct "sawtooth" cilia pattern, but what really sets it apart is its deep red traps that turn practically purple to blackish purple as the plant matures. It is one of the darkest trap interiors available, unmatched by many other cultivars. The contrast between the dark traps and the wide green petiole stems is truly stunning. Additionally, the color of the traps deepens with exposure to strong light. This cultivar is truly a sight to behold and a prized addition to any flytrap collection.
Due to the popularity of this flytrap, plants may be smaller than normal as we continue to try to grow these out as fast as they will allow us to do.
