The "Red Micro-Teeth" plant was introduced by Lucien Blancher of France in 2012. He chose this strain for its stunning foliage coloration and tiny, narrow marginal lashes (cilia). The plant features darkly colored traps on the entire foliage with hints of green. The traps have short, delicate saw teeth (cilia) that are not triangular but more filiform, or regular, like those found in the wild but extremely short, like 'microdent.' This cultivar is officially registered with the International Carnivorous Plant Society (ICPS).
