The "Petite Dragon" flytrap cultivar was named by American horticulturalist Robert Ziemer, who received a small offshoot of Red Dragon, also known as Akai Ryu. After growing it for several years, it became evident that the specimen did not resemble 'Akai Ryu,' so he registered it as a cultivar to distinguish it. The plant is distinguished by its smaller size in all parts of the foliage. What makes it unique is that it produces a bifurcate flower stalk that consistently bears two clusters of flowers, one large and one small. This is an ICPS officially registered cultivar.
Disclaimer: The provided photos showcase mature specimens for reference, while the plants available for sale might be smaller in size but still fitting for the designated category.
