Chimera (Typical)

Venus Flytrap, Dionaea muscipula

$24.00

"Chimera" is an exceptional, low-growing variant of the Venus flytrap with average to above-average-sized traps. This flytrap was cultivated from open-pollinated seeds right here at Sea Island SnapTraps. Much like the formidable creature for which it is named, this mutant exhibits several unique traits. These features include short, irregular, serrated teeth (referred to as cilia) and striking lime green banding along the inner lip of the trap's mouth. The stem and outer coloration can vary from a yellowish hue to a vibrant green, while the mouth may exhibit a multicolored pattern, and the tips of the teeth (cilia) can also redden. Intriguingly, when illuminated with bright light, the insides of the traps can evolve into a stunning, vivid red hue. This variation adds to the allure and beauty of the "Chimera" Venus flytrap
