The "DC XL" flytrap clone is a renowned giant flytrap known for its enormous traps. It produces its largest traps in the early spring on a cluster of upright leaves. In addition, it is a strong and resilient grower. Many people have claimed that this monster flytrap produces the largest traps they have ever seen. If you are a fan of giant flytraps, this is definitely a cultivar that you need to add to your collection. This cultivar was created in the United States by growers D. Conner, S. Doonan, and M. Miller in 2000. It is an ICPS officially registered cultivar. David Connor obtained a specimen in 2000 from an undisclosed source. He sent small divisions to Stephen Doonan at the FlytrapRanch, who cultivated and then sent several large divisions to Matt Miller, where it was named "DC XL."
