Biohazard

Venus Flytrap, Dionaea muscipula

Out of stock

The biohazard cultivar is truly a sight to behold, with its odd, angular, and serrated traps that make it stand out among other mutant flytraps. The plant is known for producing a pile of traps with jagged teeth on erect limbs, making it a real eye catcher. Despite having many trigger hairs, the traps often struggle to close properly. However, when exposed to strong light, the traps develop a stunning variegated red coloration across the inner mouth. Interestingly, this cultivar has the ability to revert to a typical look after several years of adult growth, allowing the plant to have functioning traps. This unique addition to the world of flytraps was created by Christian Klien in Denmark in 2008 and is officially registered by the ICPS.
