The BCP Werewolf is a unique and mutated flytrap belonging to the renowned group of carnivorous plants, known as the Best Carnivorous Plants (BCP). It was identified by Gert Hoogenstrijd and named by the German expert Stefan Lenben. This particular flytrap earned the name "werewolf" due to its robust traps, which resemble the menacing claws of the mythical creature. Its teeth, or cilia, are unusually wide and taper into sharp tips that point in all directions. Interestingly, this cultivar does not possess "trigger hairs," resulting in the trap remaining open. Despite its small size, the BCP Werewolf has a moderate level of vigor. It is worth noting that this cultivar is officially registered with the International Carnivorous Plant Society (ICPS).
