B-52

Venus Flytrap, Dionaea muscipula

$17.00

Out of stock

The B-52 Venus flytrap is truly in a class of its own. With its massive, bright red traps adorned with unusually long teeth, it has become a fan-favorite among carnivorous plant enthusiasts. Originally known as 'A1' and informally referred to as the 'Carolina Giant', it was later named after the American bomber airplane. This plant, created by Henning von Schmeling in the United States in 2006, is a vigorous grower and produces a remarkable number of the world's largest traps. Although it formerly held the world record, it has since been dethroned by the DC XL. However, the B-52 remains highly sought after for its giant size, hardiness, and stunning appearance. It is undoubtedly one of the most impressive Venus flytraps currently cultivated and is an officially registered cultivar by the ICPS.
